I’m a father, veteran, and cybersecurity professional with a habit of wanting to know how things work.
My work spans security operations, architecture, and cloud security. This site is a home for the things I’m curious about beyond that work, too.
I’ve always had a tinkerer’s mind. But I started to feel like I was losing that part of myself. The part that gets involved, tries something unfamiliar, and figures it out along the way.
Starting these projects was an easy way back to that. I wanted to work with new technologies, get my hands into them, and see if I could make something helpful.
I don’t see any one project as the final path. They’re stepping stones: a chance to learn something, put it into practice, and find out where it might lead.
I don’t need to know the whole path
to take the next step.
These two projects give that curiosity somewhere to go. Each is a different way to try things, learn by doing, and make something someone else might enjoy or find useful.

Visit Joke AcademyTime with my kids. A good book. Live music. A game of pickleball. There’s plenty that keeps me curious away from a screen.
I write, travel, and like seeing where a new place might lead. And I’ll stop for a good sunset just about anywhere.
